Grace Oyella has been one of our SOHI standouts.  After completing her 2 years with SOHI, she continued her Internship/Education via a Work/Study Program to both earn a very good wage, and hone her sewing/tailoring skill to the next level. Double Bonus: Our Staff hired Grace to test out our Incubation Phase. Piloting a program of hiring our skilled alumni to train the next generation.

A Taste of Paradise

8 Years ago we took on Becca as the Grandchild of Jaja.

(Jaja, is one of the original Dorcas Widows 

that SOHI took on at the conception of it's mission.)

Becca was but a young teenager, shy and to herself at the beginning.

But she absorbed like a sponge

Basic Business Training (BBT)

Technical Skills Training (TST)

Her English & Math Skills were honed (ESL)

and she saved to launch her business through our

Village Bank System (VB).

After a couple years dedicated to the SOHI eXperience,

SOHI went half on her Business Kit,

and now she is expanding into a small franchise,

through our Motivaitonal Loans Program (MLP)

Currently operating in Entebbe, Kampala, and near by villages.

She is able to do this with adding addition assets.

Commercial Size Kitchen w/large Fridge/Freezer,

Huge Commercial Mixer. And she is able

to bring on more staff,

especially when catering for more high end events.

We are so proud of Becca, 

Bonus: she treated us with a Valentine suprise

(watch for it in the video).

Dueling Drones @ the Bluff was a day of escape, ROAD TRIP circa. 2022. My Brother-n-Law Caleb & had recently received our Part 107 Pilot License, and we wanted to get away and capture some beautiful landscape... The Bluffs near, Red Wing Minnesota & Pepin Wisconsin - overlooking the largest lake embedded in the Mississippi River (Lake Pepin). The Bluff on the MN side @ Frontenac Park, had a peculiar landmark that we hiked to as well ~ "In Yan Teopa Rock" (Rock w/Opening). VAL CHATEL Ski Resort | Deep Lake Minnesota has had multiple extended lives. EPISODE 1 recalls the 1950's through the 70's as a Prime Ski Resort. It boasts the 2nd Ski lift in Minnesota (just behind Lutsen). EPISODE 4 is truly a Back to the Future anticipation of this property being renovated into DEEP LAKE PARK, Renovations are in the works for this to become a camping/fishing/hiking hotspot with future connections to the Paul Bunyan Forest & Superior Hiking Trail. EPISODE 3 is the afterlife story of the upcycled Tow Rope from VAL CHATEL to Sleen Hill, the Next Generation's retooling of the Tow Rope, Zip Line, & 2 Story "Chateau Denny". (Repurposing of the Tow Rope has brought new life to the winter doldrums of MN. EPISODE 2 is the hint of a LOST STORY of the VIKING THEATER which transformed the area ski slopes into a theatric attraction. At the center of the theater was a VIKING BOAT replica, whose after-after life from Viking theater took on a unique renovation of it's own ~ a glass bottom boat of sorts that had two cut outs allowing kids to fish from within the boat. Moving to the Boy Scout Camp (Mantrap Lake), then to Half Moon Trail Resort (Boot Lake)... the current whereabouts of the Viking Boat is unknown... . Drone Footage: Vantage Point llc.
